I brought the car home on December 4, 2011, and started the process of sorting it out. There are some fairly obvious problems – the rear hatch will not stay shut, the paint was unmercifully keyed at some point in its life, the shifter is all disassembled, it has a bad gas leak in the tank, etc., etc…
As with any project car I started by cleaning it up. I spent hours cleaning and pressure washing everything, bottom, top, engine bay, and so on. Then the same cleaning up the interior and getting a few years of “under a tree” smell out of it. In all, not too bad, with a little love, a great car soon.
