The brakes on the 928 were worn, corroded, and rusted beyond use so I treated the car to all new brake parts – pads, discs, rotors, hoses – and now it really does stop. Those ads where Porsche said “0-100-0 in 9 seconds” or whatever are fairly accurate, considering I took the car from 0-25-0 in about 3 seconds…next stop, the fuel system as the car really won’t go faster than 25!
