Jennifer and I visited Amalfi in 2000. The coastline is absolutely beautiful. We stayed in a converted monastery that overlooked the sea and the town. The long exposures were taken at night from our balcony. I used a Contax G2 with a Zeiss 21mm lens and timed the exposures to about 60 seconds; in one of them you can see a bright light across part of the sky, a meteor or plane came into view.
